FAQ
So? You are thinking about a security system for you home or business. I entered the business in 1982 and let me share my experience with you. While products have changed over the years, one thing has not all together changed. When it comes to the business you buy from, there are typically very large national companies or local and regional companies. There are still family run security companies and a great business sector for startups.
Buying a security system that is monitored is starting a long-term relationship. Some company’s like us still offer direct sales where you buy the system. Others require you to pay them over a long period and in reality you didn’t buy just the system. If you sign a three year agreement to have the alarm system installed and then monitored wouldn’t you want to make sure the other party is going to take care of you? If they don’t what options do you have since they can always say “like us or not, you have to pay us.” What that means to you, the buyer, is that you need to decide if you want to be locked into an agreement that allows the other to perform poorly and still get paid.
In the end, the wise buyer evaluates the hardware, the agreement and the installing company to find the best solution for them.
